Why Prepare for Biology Labs?
'Failure to prepare is preparing to fail - John Wooden' When you thoroughly prepare for Biology Labs
On the other hand, when you do not adequately prepare for labs, confusion, mistakes, accidents, wasted time and inaccurate results are guaranteed. How to Prepare for Biology Labs
Carefully read the description of your lab at least twice, several days ahead of your practical. In the first reading aim to to obtain a general understanding of the lab exercise and to develop questions. Note any unfamiliar technical terms and find their definitions. Write out your questions. Some may be answered as you do background reading. Ask your instructor the other questions. These initial questions help to guide the DISCUSSION for your Biology Lab Report. In the second reading, aim to master the lab in advance. Answer pre lab questions provided by your instructor. If your instructor gives quizzes, then prepare for one. Remind your lab partners to read the Lab Description as well and to answer the pre-lab questions. It is a great idea to meet ahead of the practical to discuss it thoroughly with your lab partners and to designate tasks. Title, Introduction, Aim
